"Pay your fare- Do not risk a criminal conviction"

This is a lastest Ads from London Transport of avoid penalty and getting caught.

Transport for London (TfL) has launched a hard-hitting campaign to tackle fare evasion on the transport network by reminding people they risk a criminal conviction if they don't pay for a ticket.

Adverts will show actors in mugshots as 'fare evaders' with a discription of where they were caught on the network. The campaign will include adverts in the press and see posters at Tube station, bus shelters across the network and adverts on the side of buses.

Adverts not aim to get the money directly from the costomers. But they need customers pay the collect fare for their journeys, fare evaders is a serious problem and costs TfL million of pounds every year across the bus and Tube networks.

In 2006, London Underground issued more than 30,000 penalty fares and a futher 18,000 people were prosecuted by London Underground and the British Transport Police for travelling without a valid ticket.
